Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to drive the design, evaluation, and implementation of packaging solutions that ensure generic pharmaceutical products remain stable, compliant, and patient‑friendly. By collaborating across R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory teams, the role safeguards product integrity while optimizing cost, efficiency, and sustainability. This position is pivotal in enabling timely market entry and maintaining competitive advantage in the generics sector..
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop packaging solutions that ensure product stability, patient safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Characterize reference listed drug (RLD) packaging to benchmark and align generic product packaging.
- Evaluate trade dress for regulatory and market compliance.
- Conduct packaging validation to confirm performance and reproducibility.
- Qualify packaging machinery ensuring operational readiness and compliance.
- Prepare regulatory documentation including validation protocols, risk assessments, and dossier sections for submissions.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with formulation, QA/QC, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to align packaging with operational needs.
- Optimize packaging materials balancing cost efficiency, sustainability, and patient usability.
- Support technology transfer by ensuring packaging processes is scalable and reproducible across sites.
- Implement sustainability initiatives such as recyclable or eco‑friendly materials while maintaining barrier performance.
- Troubleshoot packaging issues during development, validation, or commercial production.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry or similar science degree is an advantage.
- Previous work experience is considered an advantage but is not a prerequisite.
- Minimum 5–9 years of progressively responsible experience.
- Experience in packaging development in pharmaceutical industry is preferable

- Good verbal and written knowledge in English. Greek is an advantage.
- Basic use of tools specific to the profession, organization or sector (e.g. , CRM, ERP, industry tools).
