Job Description: 

We are looking for:
A Purchasing Officer to execute the day-to-day operations of the purchasing department, safeguarding that Remedica’s purchases are in line with its pricing and quality standards, while ensuring optimal stock levels.
 
As a Purchasing Officer you will be:
Reviewing and executing purchase requisitions.
Requesting quotations from various approved suppliers, negotiating best price/quantity for Remedica.
Processing orders in the ERP System and preparing & collecting the necessary documentation.
Issuing and sending purchase orders to suppliers upon approval along with the necessary documentation.
Following through the order cycle and communicating with relevant stakeholders to ensure that goods are cleared, and the payment has been processed and completed.
Preparing and updating departmental databases, reports and order records such as the Master Vendor List and ERP system.
Administering bidding processes and tendering procedures from shipping agents, collecting multiple quotations with the aim of securing the best possible one.
Ensuring that products to be shipped are insured until delivery (where applicable).
Following up with complaints report in order to receive the credit note.
Ensuring that prior to order shipment, the necessary documentation has been collected from the supplier and stamped by the Pharmaceutical services (where applicable), and verifying that payment  terms and prices are in accordance with the contractual agreement.
Comparing the prices of different vendors, making recommendations to the Purchasing Manager regarding possible actions that will maximise Remedica’s ROI.
Carrying out any other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
 
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s in Logistics, Management or Business Administration , Economics or any similar degree. 
Master or Mba will be considered an advantage
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position will be considered an advantage
Excellent negotiation, communication and organisation skills
Ability to make quick decisions
Strong attention to detail
Good level of computer literacy (Prior knowledge in ERP/Purchasing Management Software will be considered an advantage)
Excellent command of the English language
