Job Description: 

 

We are looking for:

A Production & Supply Chain Controlling Analyst to drive operational efficiency, financial transparency, and compliance across the entire value chain, from procurement to manufacturing. This position supports strategic decision-making by providing accurate cost analysis, performance insights, and process optimisation recommendations. Acting as a partner to production, supply chain, and procurement teams, the role ensures robust control over COGS, inventory, and Capex/Opex, while enabling data-driven improvements in productivity and resource utilisation. Through advanced reporting, variance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, the analyst strengthens organisational performance and supports the delivery of sustainable value in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.

As a Production & Supply Chain Controlling Analyst you will:

  • Support S/4HANA Go-Live and Post-Implementation Stabilisation, ensuring seamless transition from legacy systems and minimising business disruption.
  • Actively work within SAP S/4HANA, leveraging system capabilities to support daily finance operations, troubleshoot issues, and optimise workflows.
  • Monitor and evaluate operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and streamline processes.
  • Analyse supply chain performance and track key metrics such as inventory levels, ageing reports, and lead times.
  • Recommend strategies to optimise sourcing, procurement, and distribution.
  • Support cost control initiatives by analysing production costs (COGS, conversion costs), variances, and productivity metrics.
  • Track and analyse production costs including materials, labour, and overhead.
  • Monitor efficiency metrics such as machine utilisation, yield, and scrap rates.
  • Conduct variance analysis between planned and actual production costs.
  • Partner with plant managers and production teams to identify efficiency gains.
  • Ensure compliance with cost accounting standards and pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Maintain readiness to introduce and implement new systems to support operational and financial processes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate operational, supply chain, and production performance to management.
  • Use data visualisation tools to present actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Lead and support projects focused on process optimisation, waste reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Work closely with procurement, logistics, production, engineering, and IT teams to ensure integrated and data-driven decision-making across departments.

Maintain visibility over key production KPIs such as:

  • COGS, ABC allocation, deviations
  • Re-packaging, scrapping, yield
  • FTEs, payroll, overtime, sickness rate
  • “First time right” / rework analytics (OTIF)
  • Capex hours allocation, energy usage
  • Freight / airfreight reduction, capacity

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply chain/industry management or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in operations analysis, supply chain, or production controlling, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Understanding of supply chain and production KPIs, including inventory turnover, lead times, machine utilisation, yield, and obsolescence/scrap rates.
  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.) and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP 4/HANA.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities, with the capability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and variance analysis for production and supply chain processes.
  • Experience in data visualisation and dashboard development to support decision-making.
  • Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills to ensure integrated and data-driven decisions.
