We are looking for:
An Accountant ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and reconciliations. The role supports month-end and year-end closing, maintains compliance with accounting standards, and works with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and support daily financial operations.
As an Accountant you will:
- Process and verify daily financial transactions including invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
- Reconcile credit card statements, and intercompany accounts on a regular basis.
- Reconcile vendor, customer, and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Verify and code purchase orders and expense transactions to appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing and posting accruals, prepayments, and adjusting entries.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Commercial teams to resolve accounting-related queries (pricing, credit notes, GR/IR, etc.).
- Issue and process Debit and Credit Notes for customers ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
- Ensure proper coding of stock postings to the correct general ledger accounts.
- Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions.
- Support internal controls by reviewing transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS standards.
- Assist in the migration of master data (vendors, customers, materials, G/L accounts) from the legacy system to SAP S/4HANA.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience working with SAP, specifically SAP S/4HANA experience is highly beneficial.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP etc).
- Good knowledge of Greek & English languages
