Are you an experienced pharmaceutical business development professional with a proven track record in international partnerships, licensing and commercial deal-making?
Remedica is looking for a Business Development Director - Strategic Out-Licensing to drive the growth of our international B2B business through new licensing, distribution and commercial partnership opportunities
This is a remote role open to candidates across Europe, with a preference for those based in Spain, Greece or Portugal. Regular travel will be required, including monthly visits to our headquarters in Limassol, Cyprus.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of B2B, you will identify, develop and execute strategic licensing and partnership opportunities across international markets. Working closely with Commercial, Portfolio, Regulatory, Legal and Supply Chain teams, you will lead opportunities from initial engagement through negotiation, contracting and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new out-licensing and commercial partnership opportunities
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of international business opportunities
- Develop relationships with pharmaceutical companies, distributors and strategic partners
- Lead negotiations of licensing, supply and commercial agreements
- Evaluate opportunities, prepare business cases and commercial proposals
- Drive projects through due diligence, contracting and execution
- Represent Remedica at customer meetings and industry events
- Monitor market trends and identify new growth opportunities
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Significant experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong background in international Business Development, Licensing, Alliance Management or related B2B activities
- Proven experience managing partners and customers across multiple international markets
- Track record of negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills
- Fluent English
Preferred
- Experience negotiating pharmaceutical licensing, out-licensing and supply agreements
- Exposure to European and international markets
- Experience within generics, complex generics, value-added medicines or specialty pharmaceuticals
- Experience working within manufacturing or export-focused pharmaceutical organisations
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification
